God is LOVE

"How great is the LOVE the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called CHILDREN of GOD - 1 John 3:1"

One night, I was doing my on-call, after I finished the case, I went to the emergency department to check and to confirm whether there is any other cases for me. There are three bed sites in the emergency department, as I walked into the department, the curtain -known as SCREEN in the hospital's term- was draw or close. Then, I was standing outside the screen, waiting to see whether they need any CT Scan. While waiting, I tried to see what was taking place behind the screen or inside. I saw the nurses and doctor was trying to save the patient's live. CPR was carried out, I was terrified on that moment. The doctor and nurses were working really hard to save the patient. The whole environment was really gloomy...

Last Friday, there was a 'code blue' in the ICU. Code blue means emergency and the patient is in severe condition. An hour later, there was a portable Chest x-ray at ICU, so I went up. As I went in, I saw a few people were crying and weeping as they walking toward the ICU door. They, I knew that they are the 'code blue' patient's relatives. Then, I walked pass the 'code blue' patient and the room was messy and the screen was not fully draw. One of the nurse told me that the patient was passed away! After my portable Chest X-ray were carried out, I saw two nurses were cleaning up the room and the body. I can imagine what had taken place behind the screen an hour ago, I bet it was the same moment of what I saw in the emergency department.

When comes to 'code blue'; patient's life are in a thin line between living and death. It is either fall on one side or the another... Seriously, the choice of falling where is not determine by anyone of us; neither the doctor nor the nurses, it lies in the hand of God! After working in the hospital, one valuable thing that I learned is that "Life is so fragile!" Treasure what you have and don't take things for granted! Have a blessed day ahead!
